About Dr. Adina
Dr. Adina grew up listening to stories about her own ancestors and developed a keen interest in all things history and tradition. Besides several academic degrees in history and education, including a doctorate in education, she received a certificate in genealogical research from Boston University and completed the Salt Lake City Institute of Genealogy (SLIG) Virtual All-DNA Advanced Evidence Analysis Practicum. She has taken courses through the National Genealogical Society and National Institute for Genealogical Studies. Her main specialties are in Jewish genealogy, genetic genealogy (i.e., using DNA to find family), and New England. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Boston, National Genealogical Society, International Society of Genetic Genealogy, and GeneaBloggersTRIBE. She also participates in several social media groups related to traditional and genetic genealogy, including as a moderator for a popular Jewish DNA group on Facebook, and as the Social Media Coordinator for NextGen Genealogy Network.
