AncestryProGenealogists 2020 Winner!

I am pleased to announce that I've been selected as one of the 2020 AncestryProGenealogists Scholarship Program winners! "Ancestry.com Operations Inc. (“Ancestry™”) has established the AncestryProGenealogists™ Scholarship Program to foster and support professional genealogists in their ongoing development efforts."

My bio on the AncestryProGenealogists Scholarship webpage.

Over the past several weeks, I've been finalizing my travel plans to attend the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research (IGHR) in Athens, Georgia, in July. The scholarship covers the institute itself, hotel, and travel costs, so I feel incredibly privileged to have this amazing opportunity (and enjoy some southern hospitality!). I'm also thrilled to take the course, "Advanced Methodology and Evidence Analysis," with Judy Russell, The Legal Genealogist, so that I can continue to improve and diversify my skillset as a genealogist. You can learn more about #IGHR at their website: https://ighr.gagensociety.org/.

And if you are a genealogist (of any level) who would like to enhance your genealogical knowledge, I would definitely recommend looking into the major institutes. All have something to offer, and I hope this is just the first I'm able to attend of many.
